Couldn't Resist

.
I couldn't resist taking these pictures of
one of my new resident Purple Finches
as he navigates the rock garden?

Our weather hasn't been very cooperative, so don't mind the
appearance of last year's juncus in the foreground
that I've yet to cut away!

I also couldn't resist joining Judith's Early Bird Christmas Crafting fun.
As I am financially challenged and live in a relatively remote area,
I am forced to work with supplies on hand.

That said, and because I covered and gifted my last journal,
I chose to use a notebook for my Early Bird Christmas journal.
It's not fancy, but it will still serve the purpose.
I'm joining a few weeks late, so off I go to
catch up!  Thank you, Judith.  I think it will be fun.

We used to have a lot of Purple Finches spend the winter here. As House Finches increased, the Purple Finches disappeared. They're certainly a pretty bird and I miss seeing them.

I am sooo impressed that you are already thinking of Christmas gifts. I think I'll follow your example.
I love the photos of your purple finches. That 's a bird we never see here Twice I've seen house finches in the yard--but only briefly. As usual, your post is interesting and inspiring.

Hi Steve, thanks for the visit. I had one house finch pass through earlier this spring, which is a significant sighting for Cape Breton, as they are very rare visitors here! This is the first year the Purple Finches have remained into the season, and I'm hoping they are going to nest here. I love their beautiful song. I have 4 pairs!

Kay, as usual, I'm delighted to see you've stopped by! I always make my own Christmas gifts and am glad for the motivation to focus on them early for once. Looking forward to learning how to make something new!

Glad you enjoyed the prairie points tutorial.

Ignore the comment about the prairie points. I knew you were talking about freezer paper points. My mind is so weird lately. Brain glitch.Glad you could use "that" tutorial.
