  1. Nice anole. Love the colors and textures on the weathered wood, too.

  2. Oh, it is an "anole" is it? Learn something new every day, in this case from Marvin's comment because you are being wordless.
So, I looked it up. An anole is a small, arboreal American lizard with some ability to change its color.
Just when I think I know all the words, I run across one that is new to me.
Nifty old boards, formerly barn red, by the look of them.

  5. This little guy would freak me out and I'm afraid it would not be a wordless Wednesday. So glad someone defined what an anole is. Does it have a stripe running down its back?
How big is it? I must agree that it really stands out against the red wood. You certainly have a very observant eye! Great picture. Nola

  11. Oh, what a lovely blog you have! I'm so glad you stopped by gallimaufry so I could have a chance to meet you. Beautiful red and white pride in this picture.

I read your profile but do not see where the pictures on your blog are from... meaning what part of the country, east or west, north or south. :)

  13. Hi there, Thanks for coming to my blog. Please come back anytime. My hubby and I are retired and love being out in nature---hiking and searching for waterfalls. We have seen about 430 different waterfalls since 2001... Think we are obsessed????? ha ha

We are also into gardening (flowers, especially roses).. AND I love birds.... Life is good!!! What can I say?????

I am enjoying your blog so much... Love that picture of you getting kissed. ha ha ....

    Have a great weekend.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  14. This makes me smile though I'm not sure why.
I like your ladybird post, too. The Grouchy Ladybug, known as The Bad-Tempered Ladybird in UK, was a favourite with my children.
