The neighbor's pear tree is in full bloom here in New Braunfels, TX
and it is a magnet for butterflies.

How fun to see trees in blossom instead of covered with snow! I love the butterflies especially the blue one. Don't recall ever seeing a blue one around here. Thanks for brightening an otherwise cloudy, dismal day with your pictures. Nola
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Karen! Sigh...I WISH we had that happening around here. Still trying to be winter right now. :(

Yep, they do work their way north bringing the warm air with them. It will be a few more weeks here, had a nice snow yesterday and was 20 degrees the morning. So I will put on my patience hat and wait for you to send a few butterflies on north.
ReplyDeleteWe've got the blooming trees and the bees. Butterflies are not quite as numerous here yet. But if the temps stabilize, I'm sure they'll come out in droves!
ReplyDeleteThank you for giving us a preview! We are so looking forward to Spring up here in Ohio. :))
ReplyDeleteVery encouraging!
ReplyDeleteAt last, signs of spring :) Beautiful butterflies.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous blooms and butterflies. You can't have a much nice view of spring on the way. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful photos Karen... feeling all inspired to design something called "Butterflies in the Blossom" :) ~ Melissa
ReplyDeleteLonging to see butterflies! Thank you for giving us hope that Spring is right around the corner, well after a couple more snows!
ReplyDeleteDo you know what their names, the butterflies, I think that I know them, but I meet someone has better knowledge than me.
ReplyDeleteHi Karen,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by to visit. Your photos are wonderful! How gorgeous are those blossoms and butterflies! Spring is on its way but it still looks much like Winter outside my window. We haven't had any accumulation of snow lately though so that's a good sign!
Blessings,
Sandi
Well Karen, aren't you the lucky one ... butterflies and blossom. We have seen a few active bees in the last few days but still waiting for the first flutter to appear. FAB.
ReplyDeleteKaren: Send those beauties up north, oh wait, we are to get 12" of snow tonight.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful introduction to spring. Here in the Ozarks, we are getting so close, but still need a little while longer before we'll have the blooms to support a large selection of butterflies.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to see a monarch..I wonder if I will see any this season. I hope so...Michelle
