Signature Quilt - A Group Hug

(deleted post recovery #1,

Signature Quilts

Whenever  someone in our little community quilting group
faces an illness or an adversity,
I always try to make them a signature quilt
to help comfort them.

It's like a great big,
perpetual, group hug!

For Helen.

For Lois.

For Marion.
,

But last fall, I decided we shouldn't have to be sick
in order to each have our own 'group hug',
I worked all summer on a signature quilt,

hand-quilting myself to the moon and back.

When we had our Christmas luncheon,
(the ladies always make sure it coincides to my departure),
we drew names for the quilt.

Here's the lucky, and very pleased,
winner!!

I think I've seen this post before and commented, but it's worth a second comment. What a wonderful group of ladies! It's great that you all use your talents to brighten the lives of others.

How lovely, to receive one of these beautiful quilts, and you are a very special group of ladies. I also love the header photo, and its Dr. Seuss quote.

How very kind-hearted and generous of you. Your quilts are especially stunning! It's obvious a lot of time, hard work and love goes in to those amazing pieces of art.

Friends and quilts. Life would be pretty lonely and cold without them. Your work is remarkable, Karen.

Hey, Karen, I made two posts on my blog that I thought you would love to see. They might make you a bit jealous, but I don't think they would, I think you would enjoy them. Happy New Year!
