For the Birds

It's been a tough winter for the birds.
Found a few fun things to craft
with our feathered friends in mind.

First up are these cute tea cup and saucer feeders.

I found them at

Or, if you prefer a hanging feeder,
check THIS out!

Busted Button has a great tutorial.

Stephanie, at The Ladybug's Garden
takes them a step further with a
tutorial featuring  several different tea cup ideas.

Next up is a very unique peanut feeder
from Vesey's.
Not a tutorial, but if you're clever enough.....

might be something you could entice the man of the house to figure out!

I thought this was pretty clever

Perhaps you'd like to engage the kids
in a project, too!
Pink Pistachio has a great tute
for making hanging seed treats
in all shapes and sizes!

I just want to add that birds need water
during the winter, too.  I know it's freezing
in some parts of the country, but you could set
a dish out daily and bring it in each night.

Very creative! I might have to steal a few of these ideas in the future, with full citation on course Kaholly!

Hi Karen...They are all cute and clever, but I don't imagine the birds care what they look like as long as the seeds are there : ))

What kind of birds will eat the oranges, I've put them out and they are left untouched, any ideas?

Love all the bird feeders, especially the tea cups. My little birds just eat out on the patio out of a pie tin. I really need to find a good feeder. But, they are grateful for what is there. LOL It is so fun to peek out my window and watch them. Thanks for sharing all the great ideas. Nola

I just bought some shelled peanuts for the birds and they go through that feeder quick.
I have a bird bath and see them out taking a bath and wonder how they don't freeze in that cold water.
fun feeders.

Great ideas! I'd love to see some birds in our area, which seems so bereft of them due to all the new housing construction. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, these are wonderful, creative ideas! My favorites are the two coiled feeders. I might have to ask my talented husband to put his skills to work.
