Real Life

Quick Post

Projects are often staged in cleverly arranged photo shoots,
but in real life, this is what's going on at my house,
with no time taken to edit the photos,
because as you can see, I've got work to do!
And my new laptop and I still haven't bonded.

1. The kit I am so glad I bought.  Helped me get back into the groove
after being away from the machine for so long.
2. My Elephant Parade, just short of half machine quilted.
3. Posies from the UFO bin for a friend
just diagnosed with breast cancer.
UFOs rock!
4. The Houndstooth quilt I've always wanted to make.
This will be my airfare quilt this year,
purchased by the friend just diagnosed with cancer,
for her last and final grandchild.
This makes four!
She deserves a comfort quilt after making my annual
migration to TX affordable three years in a row!

5.  The Broken Dishes blocks that WERE going to be the border
of the Posies quilt - oh, so long ago.
There are enough for a sweet baby quilt.
6.  The afghan I'm crocheting during evening hours and on road trips.
7.  My next project, by The Raspberry Rabbits!

Last but not least,
your favorite,
a bird picture.

whetting his whistle.
This is just a medium sized plant pot and saucer
turned upside down.  The birds love it.

I'm going to have a busy, quilty day
since it's cold and rainy.  Again.
Hope your day is special in some way!

XO

Like me, so many projects and don't you wish for more time to do them. If only I didn't need to sleep, think of all I'd get done. Your quilts are lovely and will bring comfort I think. That elephant parade is adorable! Isn't it fun doing happy quilts.

Sure love seeing all the quilting that's happening at your house! So many lovelies there... the elephants, broken dishes, and that wonderful crochet rainbow. Is the crochet a kit? A pattern? I love it! You make gorgeous things!

You are almost making me feel guilty for not having sewn anything for a long time, but not quite. Maybe I'll take it up again in the fall. It is NOT cold and rainy here.
I love your projects.

Wow! Lots and lots of projects on the go! I'm hoping it is a sunny day there today. But a cold day equals more quilting :)

You look pretty motivated to me! Your elephant parade is just fabulous! Love the quilting so much. You are certainly expanding in that area. Love all your projects. I don't get many different birds in my yard, but I did have a bald eagle perch in a tree not far from the back door a few weeks ago. Only for a minute. It was pretty spectacular. Crows were going crazy.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. She is lucky to have your friendship and support. Cancer and its treatments are not easy or fun. I love all the wonderful projects you are working on. Enjoy and have fun. Nola

Hi Karen! Your projects look very interesting! I am happy that they are keeping you busy too. It is more important that you are doing what you love than shooting corrected and perfectly cropped photos to post. I so loved the Elephant Parade! Sew Fresh Quilts is just awesome with her designs! I hope you and your laptap resolve your issues, just to be on a good note that is. ;-)
Hugs, Karen
