A Post in a Pinch

This is a test.
I was gifted a new iPad for Christmas!
My old one was a mini, and I couldn’t post with it,
so let’s see if I can, now!

Hmmm, pretty good!
I prefer to use my camera and laptop
for a more refined look,
but now I know I can do a post in a pinch
from my iPad!

Now, let’s give this test more purpose!
I am making a QOV
from scraps and leftovers,
and I would like to have the top completed
by the time I travel to North Texas
to spend two weeks with my old friends.
They both have awesome machines
that I can use for FMQ!

The pattern is Celebration Cake

I will be linking up to Elm Street Quilts
One Monthly Goal

because it would be nice to have this top finished
ASAP, since I don’t yet know
when my visit will take place.
You see, I have to schedule things around
QuiltCon!
I’ll be there!
Will you?

Enjoy your week!
Thanks for visiting!
~Karen

I'm glad for you to have new technology to experiment with! So far, so good, right? I'm happy for you. But less happy for some of us blog commenters who are facing new challenges. What happens is that I am logged into my Google profile, yet when I write a comment and then tap Publish Your Comment, my comment disappears! Blogger won't recognize me, so I don't know if the problem lies with Safari, or cookies, or Google, or my MacBook. I've escalated this as "an issue" with Apple, and after doing all the things suggested, there's no change. However, I CAN still comment on blogs through my iPhone! But how challenging is it to tap-tap everything with one finger?! So here's what I'm doing as a work-around. From my computer I type my comment in the blog comment box. Then I copy and paste it into an email to myself. From my iPhone I pick up the email and copy the text to paste it into the blog comment box open on my iPhone! Ridiculous, isn't it? I wish technology companies would leave well enough alone instead of trying to find ways to "improve" everything. Sorry, I digress... I am glad for you to have an opportunity to get a quilt quilted. Is it a longarm you'll use? How great to have another finish. Will you give it away? Of course you know I'll be at QC, and it will be wonderful to see you again in Austin! Happy 2020, Karen!

I tried with my Ipad once or twice to do my blog and all the photos would be sideways no matter what I did - yours looks good

Looks good. You are going to Quiltcon? I can't wait to see your post about the show.

Well done with the new technology. I use my tablet sometimes to blog but often get sideways photos 😀😀 the laptop is better, but then posts away are better than no posts. Love your blocks, nothing like a deadline to keep you motivated!! Hope you get to play with the long arm.

Well done posting on your Ipad. I find it harder to do a post and would rather use my LapTop..
Your QOV will be lovely and hope you finish it in time to quilt at your friends...
Oh how nice it would be to go to QuiltCon but it's a bit far to go...

Happy New Year Karen. Congrats on the new purchase, I had to replace my iPad last year as I was having problems accessing my BOM video tutorials. I haven’t tried doing a post on it. Do you use the blogger as you do from your laptop or an app?

Enjoy your new gadget and the new year.

Happy New Year Karen - I am sure you will get the quilt top finished. Enjoy and be healthy (eg minimal headaches!!)

What a great gift and it seems to work well. I can post from my kindle fire but like you prefer to use my computer when I can. xx

Love your post title.....but I need a pinch to post! Lol! Glad you are happy with your new Ipad. So much less frustrating for you. Have fun with your “other” quilting friends! Hugs

Happy New Year! I thought I recognized that pattern. I have it as well and through it would make a nice QOV quilt.

I cannot create blog posts on my iPad. It's hard to post comments on other blogs, too. But I only use my phone and my iPad for photos -- save them all to Google photos and easily upload them to my blog.

Oh yes, you can!!! And all blocks look lovely. I am sure you are excited to travel to QuiltCon. Other activities can wait or be re-arranged. Looks like you had a lovely holiday, if your iPad gift is any indication :-)
A very happy new year to you.
My comments vanish when I try to comment from my iPhone. It is a hassle when I am away from my computer.

That will be a great QOV quilt. It looks like you have OPTIONS now! =)

Congrats on the awesome gift. I use my iPad to take pictures and read other people's blogs. I can't seem to write my blog on iPad. It won't scroll down for some reasons. I didn't want to fuss with it so I write my blog on my trusty laptop. Happy New Year!!

I only use my iPad. It takes a bit longer but I manage. The photos are losing their clearness at the moment. I'm not sure why.
I have just used the fabric you sent me. Thank you...
